The Victoria Falls Anti Poaching Unit has been standing up to the crime of poaching and illegal hunting since 1999. Over the years, we have been able to achieve some great, positive successes with great support. We work in support of the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority and the Zimbabwe Republic Police, illustrating what can be achieved when we all work together for a common goal. VFAPU does not tolerate poaching in any form and/or illegal hunting and will continue to fight these criminal operations with your support.
The Cecil the lion incident was just one example of what VFAPU has been fighting against many years now and we welcome the attention that this singular incident has brought to what has been going on for some time (picture is one example of a male lion who suffered a long, painful death in a poachers snare). We applaud the statement released by Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (please see previous posting below). Please note that poaching is not unique to Zimbabwe and the world needs to pay attention to the plight of wildlife throughout. If anyone finds themselves in Victoria Falls and would like to meet VFAPU and learn more about our ‘boots on the ground’ operations, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Please support in any way you can to help us to stand up to poachers!

Thank you
